Bobra Bush wins the 2008 South Region Solveras/NFIB Business Champion Award at the 2008 National Small Business Summit.

Boca Raton, FL – January 12, 2009 – Telcom Corporation, the leading provider in telecommunications consulting services, announced company President Bobra Bush won the 2008 South Region Solveras/NFIB Business Champion Award.  Each year, the National Federation of Independent Business, NFIB, recognizes one small business owner in all 50 states who “goes the extra mile for America’s entrepreneurs” with their legislative lobbying efforts.  NFIB then grants national honors on four of the 50 state-level members, one from each US region, at their bi-annual Small Business Summit in Washington, DC.  Bush is the President of a Florida-based firm, Telcom, a telecommunications consulting and bill auditing firm.

“This award is one of the highest compliments I have ever received in my career.  For the last 13 years, I have taken time away from my businesses, because I knew that the work I was doing in Tallahassee and Washington would come back ten-fold.  Being involved in public policy and the legislative process has given me the knowledge to keep me ahead of the curve and grow Telcom’s telecommunications consulting services.   This prestigious honor from NFIB confirms for me that actively participating in the molding of small business legislation facilitates expansion of my businesses and ideas,” said Bush.  “The skills I learned lobbying for small business owners, combined with my passion for telecommunications consulting have enabled me to consistently push the envelope for our clients, offering them the newest in telecommunications technology.  Because of NFIB, I’ve been fortunate to have gained those skills while truly impacting small business public policy.”

Bush is also a member of NFIB Florida’s Leadership Council and has been involved for years by traveling to Tallahassee and meeting with State Legislators to advocate on issues affecting small businesses. Ms. Bush owns Telcom, launched in 1989, is a telecommunications consulting and telephone bill auditing firm, specializing in corporate clientele as well as state, county and city governments.
